Since my Jim Carrey site is far from being a fancy advanced one, and I like to keep it simple,
it is hard even for me to believe that it is getting recognized
all over the world. Literally.
The site is designed & operated by myself to pay tribute to the man who inspired me to follow my dreams.
I started this site back in the fall of 1999. It has accomplished
quite a bit. It has been listed in books, magazines, and was even recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture
Arts and Sciences (AKA the Oscars).
The Academy paid much attention to my site when we held the 'Rally For Jim' quest that was developed
the year that Jim was snubbed for an Oscar nomination for 'Man On The Moon'. It was bad enough that he was overlooked for 'The Truman Show'. But when that second year roled around and he was once again snubbed, we took action.
We took all your comments and sent them in,
along with a cover letter, to the Academy. And I actually received
a response in return! For more information go to the Rally
For Jim Page
To add to it's blessings, the site has been in 2 books,
that I know of. One was in Nancy Krulik's: Jim Carrey; Fun & Funnier.
It was also listed in a magazine called
Veronica, over in Holland.
Amazingly enough, I am not some computer geek who knows all the ins and outs of building websites.
My HTML skills are self taught. Not bad for someone who knew nothing about computers. Plus I was a theater major at univeristy so I certainly knew nothing about computer science.
I am now living in LA to pursue acting, which has been my dream since I was a child. As of today December 3, 2004, I have been in LA for almost 3 years now. It has been a rocky road, similar to what Jim went through, but it made me stronger and I fought to stay here in LA. For more information about me, my adventures, and career, you can visit my personal website or my daily blog.

As for Jim...I have seen him several times. However, I met him on
October 19, 2003 after a screening for ESOTSM. We had
a very nice conversation, which you can read about on my news page. Right after I moved here
in Feb. of 2002, he was the first celebrity for me to see. So of
course, I took that as a sign of good things to come. I am sure
Jim would be understanding of that since he was once in my shoes. As for my acting, I was cast in my first film only 5 months after I moved here. What a way to start out!
It was a wonderful experience. Since I had only previously done theater, it was a good feeling to find out that I did indeed love the filming process.
To see more information on the film (I played "Vicki"),
go to Diamond & Sphinx.
Thank you for visiting!
